Lev Baesh, RN, Rabbi, JD, MHL
I am participating in the “Delivering Peace” delegation because I want my work to be immediate, hands on and helpful in places where tangible support is often missed. I chose COHI because of my friend, COHI founder Sera Bonds. I know the good work she does and her commitment to the people COHI serves. I have no reservations about COHI because I know its leadership. I am looking forward to getting my hands messy, although as hygienic as possible given conditions, and making a difference in the lives of those who are creating new life and those entering the world. I want to be a part of making the passage into the world safer and hope that with that beginning, the next generation can grow into a more globally conscious and locally safe people. www.rabbilevbaesh.com

Simone Lance, CNM
My decision to become a midwife was informed by my desire to do international work. Having the opportunity to connect with women (both mothers and midwives) and work in partnership with them brings me a sense of purpose and contribution that helps carry me from one day to the next.
Circle of Health International is an organization I really admire. Since my first introduction to the staff at COHI I have been reassured by their sincerity and knowledge-base. They are a small, trustworthy organization doing big, big things and I am honored to be included in their effort. I was raised in a Jewish family and have always wanted to travel back to the Middle East and invest in peaceful efforts in this region of the world. I am joining the “Delivering Peace” Delegation because there is great suffering, and it is within my power to take action. I am joining COHI because of its mission to support women, and the organization’s history of doing things that matter makes sense. I’m so excited for the chance to bring practical resources and encouragement to people providing care and to the women receiving it. I’m hopeful our group can offer some relief. I’m grateful for the opportunity! firstname.lastname@example.org
